Review Entries for Day Friday, April 11, 2014

You may have already read my blog about the fun Cartier novelty duck which is coming up for sale on 29th April 2014 (FS22/233).

Well the duck is not the only animal being offered for auction in the Spring 2014 Fine Sale on 29th April 2014. There is a charming little brooch of a dormouse in two colour gold. The dormouse is sitting on a sprig of hazelnuts (FS22/214)

This piece of antique jewellery has black onyx eyes and is contained within a fitted case by 'Garrard'. Weighing approximately 11gms, this delightful piece of jewellery has a pre-sale estimate of £400-£600.

There  is an equally intriguing three colour gold, diamond and black onyx brooch designed as a barn owl (FS22/216) .

The heart shaped face is set with brilliant cut diamonds with black onyx eyes, again in a fitted case by 'Garrard'. The estimate on this unusual piece is £1,000-£1,500.
